Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble complex composite hardware with high precision and accuracy
  • Bond composite structures using advanced techniques
  • Prepare molds and tools for composite fabrication
  • Perform prepreg and wet lay-ups with attention to detail
  • Operate vacuum bagging equipment to ensure optimal composite curing
  • Work with a variety of composite materials, including carbon fiber, fiberglass, quartz, and Kevlar
  • Sand, deburr, cut, and prepare composite pieces for assembly
  • Use monitoring and measuring equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Operate curing ovens and thermocouples to achieve optimal composite curing
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a composites manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with close-tolerance assembly and bonding of complex composite hardware
  • Experience with the production of composite tooling and components
  • Fabricate aircraft components using composite materials
  • Perform prepreg and wet lay-ups
  • Perform vacuum bagging of composites
  • Work with carbon fiber, fiberglass, quartz, and Kevlar
  • Sand, deburr, cut, and prepare composite pieces
  • Work with curing ovens and thermocouples
  • Use monitoring and measuring equipment
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and shop equipment
  • Knowledge of aircraft hardware, materials, and processes
  • Read drawings and layouts
  • Must own a comprehensive set of hand tools

Compensation

The hourly range for this position falls within $26 and $32. The final compensation will be determined based on experience, skillset, and other factors permitted by law.
