Justice Reform Strategist

Overview:
The Center for Justice Innovation is a community-driven organization dedicated to creating stronger, healthier, and more just communities. As a Research-Practice Strategies (RPS) team member, you will play a key role in informing the development and implementation of original research studies.
About the Position:This is an exciting opportunity to support the RPS team in coordinating and tracking project timelines and deliverables, as well as fulfilling grant reporting duties. You will assist with project-specific work, including scheduling, coordination, site visit planning, writing and/or editing publications and presentations, and other tasks as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the department, including organizing and documenting meetings, circulating next steps, managing virtual workspaces, organizing conference calls and meetings, editing documents and presentations, reconciling expenses, contracting, and invoicing;
- Coordinate logistics for site visits and conferences, including scheduling informational interviews with participants on Zoom, creating and disseminating agendas, assisting with travel arrangements, and locating meeting rooms for on-site appointments;
- Track timelines and deliverables on all RPS projects, including monitoring and reporting to funding agencies on milestones;
- Assist researchers in data collection, entry, and analysis;
- Collaborate with senior staff on the RPS team in the planning and implementation of new and ongoing initiatives;
- Coordinate and engage with a variety of stakeholders in partner jurisdictions across the country and globally;
- Think through how and where to incorporate anti-racist practices into the work;
- Additional tasks as necessary.
About the Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and experience working directly with justice system agencies. A bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field, combined with 2-3 years of relevant experience, is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, Google Workspace, and remote work technology (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Google Drive, Outlook) is essential. Critical thinking skills, ability to manage a fast-paced work environment, and experience working with grants are highly valued.
Benefits:
The Center for Justice Innovation offers a competitive salary range of $58,200 - $77,100, commensurate with experience. We also provide an excellent benefits package, including comprehensive healthcare, free basic dental coverage, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
