Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Privacy Analyst to join our team at Collective Health. As a key member of our Privacy Program, you will be responsible for managing privacy incidents, inquiries, and third-party audits, while assisting with the operational aspects of our Privacy Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Privacy Incident Management
    • Investigate and document all aspects of privacy incidents, including breaches involving protected health information (PHI).
    • Apply privacy laws to each incident to assist in making breach determinations.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent re-occurrence.
  • Privacy Inquiry Management
    • Research and review privacy inquiries submitted by internal partners.
    • Document inquiries in appropriate systems and develop processes to track and trend inquiries.
    • Exercise judgment to determine appropriate actions, including escalating matters to other Privacy Team members.
  • Third-Party Audits and Investigations
    • Assist with third-party, privacy-based audits and investigations.
    • Review audit trails or logs and document investigative efforts.
    • Produce reports to assist with audits and investigations.
  • Operational Support
    • Assist the Privacy Officer, Privacy Counsel, and Privacy Manager with operational aspects of the Privacy Program.
    • Draft and review policies and procedures.
    • Develop and maintain trainings.
    • Implement system-wide privacy projects and programs.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working in healthcare.
  • 3-5 years of experience serving in a role supporting a HIPAA-based privacy program.
  • Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Outstanding judgment and excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
