Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $80,000-$110,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Job Description

As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will work alongside physicians to create images using imaging devices that emit sound waves. You will perform high-quality ultrasound exams according to AIUM guidelines within the OB/GYN Institute's ultrasound department at our hospital and family health center locations.

  • Perform obstetric ultrasounds on patients, including high-risk patients
  • Assist with procedures such as amniocentesis, CVS, and other fetal care procedures
  • Accurately complete reports and communicate findings to physicians

You will also be responsible for:

  • Teaching and training sonographers, students, fellows, and residents
  • Reviewing patient history prior to exams
  • Communicating exam process to patients

We require our sonographers to maintain their RDMS certification in good standing and complete continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Have a graduate degree from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Be registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS
  • Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA

Preferred qualifications include one year of OBGYN women's health ultrasound experience or three years of ultrasound experience.
