Clinical Psychologist

Northwell Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at South Oaks Hospital. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological assessments and psychotherapeutic interventions to patients, as well as conducting research in accordance with IRB guidelines and approvals.

• Provide patient care, individual or group, in accordance with accepted principles of psychotherapy.
• Select and administer psychological assessments to determine the nature of problems and recommend treatment.
• Evaluate children to obtain information necessary for planning and intervention in areas of cognition, learning, and behavior.
• Present treatment plans and educate patients, families, and hospital staff on procedures.
• Consult with referring counselors and rehabilitation counselors regarding patient progress and placement.
• Evaluate care provided for positive patient outcomes.
• Document patient interventions according to department and hospital policies and procedures.

• Doctor of Psychology required.
• Current License to practice as a Psychologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
