Patient Care Specialist

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team. As a Patient Care Tech, you will perform direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing. Your specific duties may vary by assigned area, but you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks as assigned by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Director of Critical Care Nursing/Clinical Team Leader.
- Provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team.
- Assist with various tasks and duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of our critical care unit.
Requirements:
- High School Degree or equivalency: completion of Patient Care or Multi-skilled Tech certification program.
- American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- 1-3 years experience as nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist and/or other related healthcare experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification and/or Phlebotomy certification.
- Ability to work well with others, conscientious, organized and reliable.
Work Environment:
- Per Diem position/7P - 7A shift.
