Position Summary

The Culinary Service Assistant plays a vital role in the food service department by preparing the serving area, ensuring accurate food portions are provided to patients, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the workspace.

This position also involves updating communication systems, documenting dietary modifications, managing phone inquiries, and distributing patient menu requests effectively. Additionally, the Culinary Service Assistant may be tasked with cash handling responsibilities, adhering to established cash management protocols to maintain financial integrity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and maintaining the serving line.
  • Delivering nourishment and assisting with patient dietary needs.
  • Greeting patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ensuring compliance with dress code and hygiene standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess the ability to read and comprehend recipe instructions and dietary orders. A flexible work schedule is essential, along with a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment.


Additional Information

This is a PRN/as-needed position without benefits, with shifts determined by departmental needs, including rotating weekends.
