About the Job:

The County of Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled Communicative Disorders Specialist to join its team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to work as a Speech and Language Therapist in our department. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or higher in Speech Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field, and two years of experience in speech-language pathology in a clinic or educational institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat culturally and linguistically diverse patient populations
  • Confer with patients, families, referring physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams
  • Consult with other speech-language pathologists and allied health personnel

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of experience in speech-language pathology in a clinic or educational institution
  • Current licensure by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board to practice speech pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association

Salary:

$106,866.72 - $144,011.04 Annually
