Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.

About the Job

We are looking for a skilled professional to fill this exciting opportunity in dysphagia management. The successful candidate will have a Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program and hold a current Speech-Language Pathologist License (California) as well as National Provider Identifier. If you have experience in outpatient adult, PEDS, and MBS, we would like to hear from you

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to assess their communicative abilities and develop individualized therapy plans to improve or restore function
  • Administer diagnostic tests, provide individualized treatment, and collaborate with physicians to recommend and implement appropriate treatments
  • Develop and present in-service programs in areas of specialty
  • Serve as a consultant on interdisciplinary teams and perform diagnostic clinical swallowing evaluations on a diversified patient population
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist License (California)
  • National Provider Identifier
  • Bachelor's degree in speech pathology or related field (for CFY candidates)

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $110,000 per year, based on the national average for speech language pathologists in Los Angeles, CA. This estimate includes base pay, bonuses, and additional forms of compensation. Please note that actual salaries may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and performance.
