Waste Management Technician

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Landfill Laborer. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our landfill facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the grounds and facilities of the landfill, including mowing, trimming, and picking up trash and debris.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repair, including washing and fueling vehicles.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as skid-steer loaders and sweepers, as needed.
- Perform custodial duties in offices and maintenance shops.
- Assist with waste management and recycling operations, including applying Alternate Daily Cover (ADC) as needed.
- Work in a team environment to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, as well as work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and speak English fluently.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to weather elements, high traffic conditions, and residential and commercial waste. The ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
