Office of Diversity and Outreach Data Analyst

This role within Enterprise Information and Analytics will partner closely with the Office of Diversity and Outreach to build analytical tools and data processes that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across UCSF. The successful candidate will be inquisitive and consultative, able to translate business problems into data, and data into stories. The candidate will have experience automating data pipelines and building visualization dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, analysis, and reporting of the ODO's Climate Survey, including providing definitions and analyzing business and demographic attributes for all Faculty, Staff, and Learners at UCSF who respond to the survey.
- Development of workflow and dataflow processes to assist with the annual production of the Affirmative Action Plan with the Office of Diversity and Outreach and the Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination.
- Development and improvement of current products to communicate with more transparency about the office's focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) as well as UCSF's Anti-Racism initiative.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- 3-5 years of relevant progressive experience.
- Ability to prepare data models unassisted.
- Familiarity with data model patterns in one or more common business or academic domains.
- Ability to represent relevant information in abstract models.
- Thorough knowledge of data management systems, practices, and standards.
