Transformative Opportunity in Weight-Inclusive Healthcare

knownwell, a pioneering weight-inclusive healthcare company, seeks a dedicated Physician to lead the growth and culture of our next office in Woburn, Massachusetts. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will work alongside a collaborative group of physicians, APCs, registered dietitians, registered nurses, and health coaches to provide comprehensive medical care, with a focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of obesity and obesity-related conditions.

About the Role
  • Practice exceptional medicine within knownwell, delivering patient-centered care that prioritizes inclusivity and compassion.
  • See adults ages 18+ for primary care, often with a focus on metabolic health, or adults for metabolic health only. Share a panel with APCs.
  • Embodies the knownwell mission and values of patient inclusivity in how you deliver care.
  • Coordinates with the broader care team to ensure the patient has the support they need.
  • Documents as necessary to ensure accurate billing, including review of remote patient monitoring data.
  • Communicates with patients in a timely manner through our portal for questions and concerns that have been pre-screened to necessitate a clinician response.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
  • Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
  • Certification with American Board of Obesity Medicine recommended, but not required.
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice in Massachusetts, or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid DEA required with no restrictions and prescribing authority (per state practice regulation).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications recommended, but not required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of in-person clinical experience practicing as a physician outside of residency or fellowship training.
  • Clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting, family or internal medicine; experience in chronic condition management and weight management preferred.
