About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Albertsons Companies. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, as well as completing preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and maintain good housekeeping, GMP, and Global Food Safety practices
  • Changeover, repair, and troubleshoot all plant production equipment
  • Support equipment installation, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications
  • Identify complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance based on schedules
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as required
  • Maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as required
  • Ensure spare parts or services are ordered as required
  • Make required changes or adjustments as required
  • Implement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.)
  • Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficiently
  • Maintain organization of spare parts
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' experience working in warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing
  • 1+ years' experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair required
  • Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, welding, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
  • LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
  • EPA Refrigeration Certification preferred
