Job Summary

Comfort Keepers - South Shore, Cape & Islands, MA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Specialist to provide non-medical, in-home support services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and socialization to clients, promoting a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and ambulation.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Remind clients to take self-administered medications and establish effective communication with clients, family members, and colleagues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Comfort Keepers' policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, document services provided, and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, family members, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Work Environment

Client home settings and occasional use of automobile.

Physical Demands

The work requires moderate physical exertion, including standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, kneeling, and crouching. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
