Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct oversight of vehicle operators on the road, ensuring they meet uniform and equipment standards.
  • Monitor driving skills and work habits of drivers in the field, providing feedback to improve performance.
  • Assist dispatch and maintenance staff with vehicle change outs that occur in the field, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
  • Conduct road observations according to client and local policy, identifying potential safety hazards and providing feedback to improve procedures.
  • Monitor street operations for on-time performance and schedule adherence, providing insights to improve efficiency.
  • Provide feedback to safety and operations departments on service items that affect safety and performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work under stress and meet strict timelines, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Responsible for onboard evaluations, trail checks, drive cam, and mentoring/coaching drivers to improve performance.
  • Monitor pull-outs and service areas, ensuring optimal service delivery.
  • Investigate vehicle accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with passenger endorsement.
  • Pass a DMV driving record check and maintain a clean driving record throughout employment.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Willingness to have flexibility with schedule and work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, federal fingerprinting, and a DOT physical examination.
  • Ability to operate an iPad, cellphone, and personal computer.
  • Intermediate MS Office and email experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments.
  • Ability to work independently and objectively.

Work Environment

  • Frequently works outside in extreme, hot, and/or cold weather.
  • May sit for over six hours a day, with high volume use of telephone and computer.
  • May reach and pull overhead, climb, bend, and kneel.
  • May operate a vehicle for over six hours per day.
  • May use electronic hand-held devices (iPad, cellphone, two-way radio).
  • May be exposed to fumes while responding to incidents on the buses.
