Civil Engineer Project Manager Job Description

This role involves serving as a Project Manager and working with a team of engineers and CAD technicians on various site and land development projects across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities include site layout, grading, parking, stormwater drainage systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, stormwater detention, stormwater treatment, and public roadways.

Additional responsibilities include business development activities, financial management of projects, and client interface.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Master's a plus)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Missouri or Kansas, or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience leading civil design efforts for site/land development projects
  • Sound technical design background
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of U.S. design codes and standards

Hybrid Firm Position

As a Hybrid Firm, Walter P Moore offers a blend of in-office and home office environments, providing flexibility and work-life integration to employees.

Candidates should have the ability to commute to or periodically travel to the affiliated office.

The company offers a one-time $1,000 stipend for setting up a suitable home office space and an additional $50 monthly stipend for ongoing home office expenses.
