Job Summary:

A Senior Finishing Operations Manager oversees the final stages of product manufacturing, ensuring quality control, adherence to specifications, and timely completion. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, managing workflow, and troubleshooting production issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the finishing work on construction sites, ensuring that work is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and contractors to ensure that all finishing work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage a team of finishing workers, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that work is completed to the required standard.
  • Ensure that all finishing work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, and that all workers are trained and equipped to work safely.
  • Keep accurate records of all finishing work, including materials used, work completed, and any issues or delays encountered.
  • Monitor quality control measures to ensure that all finishing work meets the required standards, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, answering any questions they may have and keeping them informed of progress on the project.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the finishing process, and work with management to implement changes that will improve efficiency and quality.
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team of finishing workers.
  • Knowledge of different finishing materials and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations on site.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Related experience and/or training may be substituted.
