Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Support Specialist Supervisor to join our team at Downtown Emergency Service Center. The successful candidate will provide clinical support and supervision to our team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision to Clinical Support Specialists and Housing Stabilization Specialists, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Oversee the documentation standards related to quality and frequency, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to hire and orient new staff members, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Provide on-site service coordination for program residents, carrying a small caseload and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Support Residential Counselors in their roles as providers of milieu therapy, crisis management, and daily building operations.
  • Facilitate engagement of residents through creative and resourceful strategies, building trust and confidence.
  • Meet with each resident and their community case manager to develop an Integrated Service Plan, outlining goals and strategies for housing success.
  • Maintain contact with community case managers to resolve crises and monitor progress, regularly updating each resident's progress in their service file.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, counseling, or administration.
  • Two years of relevant work experience in human services, preferably working with adults challenged by homelessness, economic disadvantages, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders.
  • One year of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Current Washington Department of Health minimum credential as an Agency Affiliated Counselor or ability to obtain the credential upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, administration, or a related field.
  • Case management or housing navigation experience.
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in settings serving people with histories of homelessness and/or behavioral health conditions.
