Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services to achieve optimal quality, delivery, inventory, and cost targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules for complex items.
  • Address and resolve material shortages promptly.
  • Utilize daily priority reports to manage procurement activities.
  • Oversee supplier relations by creating or modifying purchase orders and handling general correspondence.
  • Assist in quality management actions, including Material Requests and compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Monitor and enhance Buyer Delivery performance and manage hold reports.
  • Analyze inventory levels to align with Supply Chain objectives using various reporting tools.
  • Communicate monthly forecasts and delivery performance metrics to suppliers.
  • Reclassify item ABC codes and attributes, including safety stock and lead times.
  • Present inventory performance and project updates at various reporting forums.
  • Support large New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, including managing obsolescence.
  • Assist with indirect material purchases for services and non-inventory items.
  • Provide support across different functional areas, projects, and mentoring as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Oracle is essential.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Technical skills in direct/indirect material procurement and purchase order placement are necessary.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools, particularly Excel, is a plus.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities are crucial.
