Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, operating supplies, and services to achieve our quality, delivery, inventory, and cost objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules for complex items.
  • Proactively communicate and resolve any shortages.
  • Manage daily priority reports effectively.
  • Oversee supplier management by creating or modifying purchase orders to meet demand and maintain general correspondence.
  • Support quality initiatives, including managing material requests and addressing red flags.
  • Adhere to all import and export regulations, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Monitor and resolve buyer delivery performance and manage matching holds reports.
  • Utilize various analytics and reporting tools to manage inventory in alignment with supply chain goals.
  • Communicate monthly forecasts and delivery performance metrics to suppliers.
  • Reclassify item ABC codes and attributes, including safety stock and lead times.
  • Present inventory performance and project status at various reporting forums.
  • Assist with large new product development projects that may involve obsolescence.
  • Support indirect material purchases for services and non-inventory items.
  • Contribute to other functional areas, projects, mentoring, and provide work direction as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle systems is essential.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is necessary.
  • Technical skills in direct and indirect material purchasing and purchase order placement are required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in reporting, particularly with Excel, is preferred.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills are essential.
