Compensation: Hourly Rate: $26 - $30, for experienced technicians only.

Job Overview:

  • Foster a positive and accountable relationship between the organization and its clients, demonstrating professionalism and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Execute shop repairs and maintenance tasks as directed by the Branch Service Manager.
  • Achieve or surpass the estimated timeframes for scheduled repairs.
  • Adhere to repair deadlines established by customer requirements and the Branch Service Manager.
  • Skillfully assess and diagnose equipment issues and malfunctions, recommending appropriate service and repair solutions.
  • Perform necessary equipment repairs or modifications.
  • Work on rental, used, new, and customer-owned equipment as instructed.
  • Exemplify the company's vision, mission, and values in daily activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, both inside and outside.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, reporting any cleanliness or safety concerns to management.
  • Keep a tidy, hazard-free workspace, including any assigned company vehicles and customer locations.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations, as well as company and customer safety protocols.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers through professional interactions.
  • Follow all operational and procedural guidelines set by the company.
  • Participate in scheduled training sessions as directed by your supervisor.
  • Accurately document each service repair, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Ensure the serviceability and accountability of all company equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in electrical and industrial battery charger repair is advantageous.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience in the forklift or equipment repair sector.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to comprehend service manuals and schematics.
  • Proficient in safely operating power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks, and overhead cranes.

Typical Work Schedule: The standard work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Lead Generation: Develop a thorough understanding of all products and services offered by Tri-Lift Industries, with the goal of identifying and providing leads to other departments for products that can enhance our customers' operations.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The ability to perform strenuous tasks and lift heavy objects, occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds and frequently handling loads of up to 50 pounds, is required. Employees must possess the stamina for continuous physical activity, including climbing, reaching, pulling, walking, and lifting. Regular activities include standing, using hands for manipulation, reaching, and effective communication. Frequent walking, climbing, and balancing are also necessary, along with the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
