Overview

The Mixologist plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests by providing exceptional service and expertly crafted beverages. This position requires a keen understanding of drink recipes, menu offerings, and the ability to engage with patrons effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Welcome guests and provide detailed information about menu items, including pricing and allergen details.
  2. Build relationships with regular customers to encourage repeat visits.
  3. Accurately take and input orders into the POS system.
  4. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests, adhering to specified standards.
  5. Maintain adequate stock levels throughout the shift.
  6. Assist in rearranging furniture as directed by management.
  7. Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions.
  8. Support food servers by providing timely service.
  9. Follow precise drink recipes when preparing beverages.
  10. Organize and prioritize tasks to enhance service efficiency.
  11. Address guest concerns and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  12. Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including state and federal liquor laws.
  13. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the bar area.
  14. Process guest payments accurately and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
  15. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
  16. Monitor guest behavior to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of beer, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Working Conditions

Work in a dynamic environment that may involve exposure to varying noise levels, crowds, and smoke. Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
