Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Shift Details: This role operates on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2pm.
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all production machinery. Responsibilities encompass both corrective and preventive maintenance across electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. The technician will also engage in the innovation of machine modifications and capital projects, while staying informed on the latest technologies to enhance operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance on all production and auxiliary systems.
- Diagnose and rectify issues to restore equipment to optimal operating conditions.
- Ensure compliance with Quality System procedures and maintenance-related work instructions.
- Monitor machinery performance and contribute to the development of preventive maintenance strategies for both new and refurbished equipment.
- Integrate electrical control systems for newly installed or upgraded machinery, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- Participate in the specification, construction, refurbishment, installation, and assembly of electrical and electronic control systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Ensure all machinery and facility services meet relevant safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
A High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, or an Associate Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder logic.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and both digital and analog servo systems.
- Knowledge of soldering techniques, ARC welding, and MIG welding.
- Capability to service electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience operating motorized vehicles, including forklifts and elevated platforms.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, including training in LOTO and PPE usage.
Work Environment
This position is primarily indoors within a manufacturing setting, with occasional outdoor responsibilities.
Tools and Equipment
Utilization of personal computers, fax machines, telephones, copiers, printers, hand tools, and powered hand tools is required.
Physical Demands
Light work (lifting up to 10 lbs) is frequently required, with medium work (lifting 11-30 lbs) and heavy work (lifting 31-50 lbs) also necessary on a regular basis. Very heavy work (lifting over 50 lbs) may occur 2-3 times per week. The role requires mobility throughout the facility.
Travel Requirements
Local travel may occur approximately 5 times per year, with occasional regional, national, and international travel as needed.
