Job Description

SS&C Technologies is a global leader in the financial services and healthcare industries, with a strong presence in over 90 offices across 35 countries. As a Principal SRE, you will be part of our Cyber Defense Operations Center, which is at the heart of our security culture. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our security team and drive our cloud security strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a team of security engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Develop and implement automated security assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in AWS environments.
  • Design and deploy automated security response mechanisms to ensure rapid and effective incident resolution.
  • Work closely with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Respond to and resolve escalated incidents for customer issues or monitoring alerts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, and Cloud Engineering, with a focus on cloud security.
  • Proven experience managing and leading security teams.
  • Strong background in AWS security services and best practices.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform).
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and security features.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
