Aircraft Maintenance Technician II

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and modification of aircraft structures and components of moderate complexity. This role encompasses the maintenance and repair of various aircraft systems, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize technical expertise in airframe and power plant systems to identify equipment malfunctions and restore operational condition, referencing technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturer manuals.
Perform inspections, corrosion control, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on aircraft systems.
Provide personal hand tools for aircraft maintenance; specialized tools and testing equipment will be supplied by the company.
Occasionally lead teams through complex aircraft-related tasks.Document entries in aircraft logs and records as necessary.
Organize workload schedules for assigned projects.
Essential Qualifications:
Possession of a valid State driver's license.
Willingness to undergo random drug testing.
Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
High school diploma or equivalent certification from an accredited program.
Valid FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
Proficiency in the repair and maintenance of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft and systems, including airframes, structural components, hydraulics, fuel and electrical systems, and aircraft engines.
Familiarity with system troubleshooting, reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and FAA, Company, and other directives.Demonstrate reliability and sound judgment.
Able to adhere to procedures for the handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
Capability to meet deadlines and maintain necessary workflow.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English, following both verbal and written instructions.
Ability to comprehend and interpret technical data.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
Physically capable of performing aircraft mechanic duties.
Ability to navigate the interior of aircraft and meet specific weight limit specifications.
Stand, squat, sit, walk, and work with arms overhead for extended periods.
May be required to wear a respirator.
Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
May work in environments with high noise levels, necessitating appropriate ear protection.
Preferred Qualifications:
FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred.
