Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, rebuild, and repair various vehicles and equipment, including major engine and transmission repairs and electrical diagnostics.
  • Conduct significant electrical repairs, minor welding tasks, and maintenance for engines, transmissions, and equipment.
  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and machinery.
  • Execute major road calls and field repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure scales are calibrated and certified according to state regulations.
  • Safely operate and secure all equipment.
  • Maintain tools and equipment necessary for job performance.
  • Foster a safe and healthful work environment at all times.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and related components.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of journeyman experience or a two-year diesel mechanic certificate (preferred).
  • Valid CDL (preferred) and a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Documentation proving eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
