About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Manager to join our team at PCL Construction Enterprises Inc. in Clearview, Ohio, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee. As a key member of our Solar USA office, you will be responsible for providing overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to our solar energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project safety plans and lead by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
  • Ensure projects are constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
  • Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit.
  • Manage project performance and provide performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts, revisions, major purchase orders, and progress payments, and monitor their progress and schedule.
  • Understand and enforce the contract and contract documents.
  • Participate in overall project commissioning and closeout.
  • Identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
  • Monitor progress of the design, including compliance issues, quality, general coordination, constructability, and timing of deliverables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of solar and construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.

This position has a competitive base salary plus relocation bonuses, bi-weekly travel allowances, and weekly per diem.
