About the Position:

Crystal Stairs, Inc. is seeking a skilled Legal Manager to coordinate, implement, and monitor the Agency's contract life cycle, ensuring compliance with Agency's policies and funder requirements.

This is a critical role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in contract drafting, with 2 years in a corporate contracts or legal department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contractual-related documents, including funding contracts, grants, vendor contracts, subcontracts, leases, releases, MOUs, programmatic agreements, work orders, amendments, and termination notices.
  • Establish and maintain a contract management system to regulate the contract process workflow.
  • Provide training to staff on Agency's contract-related policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on contractual matters.
  • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to pending and executed contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the procurement process.
  • Assist with insurance-related tasks, including applications and requests for COIs.
  • Support corporate filings, subpoenas, and record retention monitoring.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in contract drafting, with 2+ years in a corporate contracts or legal department.
  • 1 year of supervisorial experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; a graduate degree in law, business administration, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • California bar admission is a plus.
  • Knowledge of contract law principles is essential.
  • Experience with contract management systems or software is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, manage projects, and maintain confidentiality.

Salary and Benefits:

Estimated salary: $115,000 - $140,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
