The role of the Project Design Engineer involves leading projects, interpreting client specifications, utilizing SOLIDWORKS for design, and overseeing multiple projects along with shop work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Principal Designer on various projects, executing comprehensive mechanical systems design.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines including structural, electrical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers to ensure cohesive design and scheduling.
  • Promptly document design choices, meetings, and client instructions while keeping track of project design advancements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • An Associate degree in Drafting from a recognized technical institution, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Expertise in SOLIDWORKS or Inventor software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD (2D) or DraftSight applications.
  • Proficient in the Office 365 product suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of CRM Systems.
  • Experience working with PDM/PLM systems.
  • Background in structural detailing or mechanical system design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
