Position:
Senior Security Systems Specialist

The Senior Security Systems Specialist is responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of various electronic and mechanical security systems, including access control and surveillance technologies, for both company-provided and existing client systems.

​ Possess and apply extensive knowledge of all security and surveillance systems, demonstrating expertise in all facets of both company-provided and existing client systems.
Guide and train emerging professionals in the fields of security and surveillance technology.

Conduct thorough site assessments and ensure comprehensive documentation of all necessary components, including but not limited to access control and surveillance systems, which encompasses photographic and written records of the scope, collection of schematics, and collaboration with other departments to evaluate their potential requirements.

Oversee the installation, configuration, programming, and technical assistance of access control devices, which may include but are not limited to magnetic locks, electric strikes, emergency exit devices, wireless locks, card readers, request-to-exit buttons, motion sensors, power supplies, control boards, relays, and associated software.

Manage the installation, configuration, programming, and technical support of surveillance hardware, including but not limited to analog and IP cameras, digital video recorders, network video recorders, power supplies, and their respective software.

Facilitate the installation of low-voltage cabling for access control and surveillance systems when necessary for the complete setup of all devices (common for smaller projects and service requests).

Provide on-call assistance as needed (according to a rotation schedule).

Compile technical documentation and maintain comprehensive system backups and current software/firmware updates for all access control and surveillance systems.

Ensure that all databases, firmware, documentation, network details, and images for both access control and surveillance systems are securely stored in a file designated for each specific client in the approved company repository.

Accurately record all interactions during a service call in notes, utilizing a detailed summary with troubleshooting steps performed in accordance with company standards.

Collaborate with project teams to prepare for field deployment, which includes but is not limited to participating in project handoff meetings.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in security systems and surveillance, or equivalent demonstration of expertise.

Significant experience in the installation, programming, calibration, testing, and repair of access control and surveillance systems from inception to completion.

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Proficiency in English (fluent), with Spanish being a plus but not mandatory.
