Job Summary

Estes Forwarding Worldwide is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving and processing invoices from our home office and field locations, verifying invoice data with departments and regional personnel, and ensuring timely payment to our vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process all invoices from home office and field locations
  • Verify invoice data with departments and regional personnel
  • Open, sort, and distribute truck mail within the department for coding
  • Batch invoices, run, and proof batch edits
  • Match checks with invoices and mail them
  • Handle calls to and from vendors regarding payment information
  • Lookup vendors and paid invoices, change computer information on vendors, fax or mail W-9 information to vendors, etc.
  • Print checks and run interfaces for various departments
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma, plus 1-3 years of clerical experience
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Prior Accounts Payable experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access desired
  • AS400 experience helpful
