Equipment Specialist Lead Job Description

Diaconia is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Specialist Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support program requirements by analyzing and resolving problem areas on assigned systems and items.
  • Assist in recommending and developing executable programs to ensure the operation and evaluation of assigned systems.
  • Advise technicians on methods of resolving unusual troubleshooting problems and repairing difficult system malfunctions.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to senior leaders and maintenance technicians in maintenance, operation, and training for assigned weapon systems and associated equipment.
  • Assist in accomplishing studies, review, and analysis of technical problems/malfunctions affecting assigned equipment.
  • Recommend corrective actions and evaluate technical adequacy and economic feasibility.
  • Support all aspects and levels of program IPTs, including engineering, program management, and other equipment specialists.
  • Support trial installations, kit proofs, and TCTO/technical data verification.
  • Support feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure systems, subsystems, and equipment are mutually compatible and meet operational and technical requirements.
  • Product Support Assistance - Support the PSM in the development and maintenance of Postproduction Support Plans (PPSP), Postproduction Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP).
  • Logistics Coordination - Coordinate logistics elements such as spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning in alignment with integrated logistics support requirements.
  • Documentation Preparation - Develop, modify, and validate documentation relating to automated logistics systems and management information systems.
  • Meeting and Program Review Support - Facilitate and participate in program reviews, conferences, and meetings to provide status updates and decision-making information on logistics operations.
  • Life Cycle Supportability Analysis - Conduct logistically focused analyses, including readiness assessments and cost analyses to determine life cycle supportability.
  • Supportability Strategy Development - Contribute to the development of a product support strategy that integrates acquisition and sustainment phases throughout the weapon system lifecycle.
  • Training and Technical Support - Serve as a technical advisor to senior leaders and maintenance teams regarding assigned weapon systems and associated equipment.
  • Data Management and Analysis - Conduct research and analysis using systems such as D043, CAV AF, JEDMICS, and other databases to identify and resolve problem areas.
Requirements:
  • Secret or Top-Secret DoD clearance; US Citizenship required.
  • One of the following combinations of education/experience: Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS)) and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
  • BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
  • High school diploma and twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CF6 engine experience.
