Job Summary
As an IT Specialist with the Defense Logistics Agency, you will provide technical and analytical IT support to customers. This includes responding to customer requests, assessing system shutdowns and software defects, and coordinating with IT management to recommend replacement or modification of existing systems. You will also develop, install, and troubleshoot customer hardware and software issues, as well as assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various hardware and software systems. Additionally, you will identify recurring IT deficiencies and investigate their causes, recommending remedial action to ensure continuity of operations and enhance customer service.
Responsibilities
Develops, installs, and troubleshoots customer hardware and software issues
Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer IT problems and issues
Loads customer computers with required software packages and keeps lead officials informed regarding installations, quality of software, and customer satisfaction
Provides user training on PC hardware and software operations via telephone, email, remote access, and/or through on-site customer visits
Coordinates with hardware contractors, software vendors, and end users to monitor and assure hardware and software system quality, reliability, and information security
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience must be directly in or related to this position. You must also meet eligibility requirements minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
