At Kensington Consulting Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Senior Applications Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles. This role involves executing engineering projects, supporting customer needs, and contributing to the success of advanced manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for a highly skilled engineer to manage engineering projects from planning to execution, ensuring technical feasibility and quality results.
  • The successful candidate will conduct turnkey projects, plan and prepare tools, fixtures, and consumables, and deliver high-quality results.
  • This position requires creating and delivering technical presentations to various audiences, including customers, engineering staff, sales teams, suppliers, and management.
  • The ideal candidate will provide technical feedback on applications developments, suggesting improvements for future machine enhancements.
  • They will also offer advanced application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution both remotely and on-site.
  • In addition, the selected individual will train customers and internal teams on new technology, aid in production ramp-up when required, and participate in customer meetings, exhibitions, and other sales-related activities.

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication of outcomes to stakeholders, and interpersonal skills, accountability, and a collaborative approach.

Requirements:
  • You must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Master's preferred) and have 3-6 years of experience in programming and operating additive manufacturing machinery (DED or L-PBF).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as well as strong collaboration skills, focusing on building win-win relationships with stakeholders.
  • A customer-centric mindset with effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for diverse audiences is necessary.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are also required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, CAD, CAM, and simulation/analysis software is expected.
  • Additionally, you must qualify as a "US Person" under ITAR regulations to work on export-controlled projects.
Work Environment:

This role involves working in manufacturing settings, including assembly, machining, and quality control facilities, as well as office environments. You may be exposed to noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other machinery.
