Job Overview

The Highland Park Community Development Corp is seeking a dedicated Child Care Aide to join our team at the Tilden Hall Child Care Center. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for homeless children transiting to long-term permanent housing.

We offer a competitive salary of $42,000 - $45,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing the childcare and parenting program, including recreation and educational activities for children and their mothers, promoting effective child-rearing techniques.
  • Participate in the implementation of the childcare program, ensuring sound educational goals that cater to the age and development level of children, enabling them to excel in future educational opportunities.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with parents residing in the facility, respecting confidentiality and relaying pertinent information to supervisors as needed.
  • Ensure the safety and proper care of children during program hours, teaching personal hygiene and meeting their needs regarding cleanliness.
