About the Role

Farnsworth Group, a leading engineering, architecture, and surveying firm, is seeking a highly skilled Professional Land Surveyor to join our team in Frisco, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing boundary and topographical surveys, construction layouts, subdivision plats, right of way plats and descriptions, parcel legal descriptions, and ALTA/ACSM land title surveys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee boundary and topographical surveys, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct construction layouts, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare subdivision plats, right of way plats, and descriptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform parcel legal descriptions, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Licensure: 5+ years as a licensed Illinois Professional Land Surveyor.
  • Proficiency with GPS, Robotic Total Station, and Data Collectors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ARCGIS, and/or MicroStation.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to organize field notes.
  • Ability to read construction plans.
  • Experience performing boundary research.
  • Ability to execute field staking.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Desired Qualifications
  • Drone and scanner experience.
  • OSHA 30 hour certification.
