Job Summary:

Summit Medical Staffing Allied is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the healthcare industry by performing laboratory tests and procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various laboratory tests and procedures, including blood draws, urinalyses, and other diagnostic tests.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and other specialized instruments.
  • Record and report test results, including abnormal findings and critical values.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to provide test results and answer questions.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
  • Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
