About the Position:

United E&C, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 8-12+ years of experience in design of control systems for power plants or heavy industrial facilities, with a focus on nuclear plants in North America.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of engineering modification projects for nuclear generating stations, including preparation of Engineering Change Packages, plant digital upgrades, and design of control systems for new generation nuclear plants.

The role will involve working closely with clients, contractors, vendors, and other members of the project team to deliver projects that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of control systems for nuclear power plants
  • Preparation of Engineering Change Packages and plant digital upgrades
  • Design of control systems for new generation nuclear plants
  • Collaboration with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering from an accredited 4-year university
  • 8-12+ years of experience in design of control systems for power plants or heavy industrial facilities
  • 3 years of experience in I&C design for nuclear plants in North America

Preferred Requirements:

  • Professional engineering (PE) License in any state in the U.S.
  • 2 years of design experience for new nuclear generating stations
  • Experience with Digital Upgrades at operating nuclear plants
  • Familiarity with NEI 08-09 and experience with performing cyber-security assessments
