As a key member of the HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and providing nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement nursing care plans that meet the individual needs of patients
- Lead and manage a team of nurses to ensure high-quality patient care and excellent patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and hospital administrators to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by the nursing team and implement improvements as needed
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure efficient and effective use of resources
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience in PICU, Pediatrics, or Childrens Services
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Charge, Coordinator, Supervisor, or Managerial and above
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital that offers a full range of services, including labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast and provide interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Our hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center and offers a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children and offer the area's only Level III Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units.
