Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee the operational, financial, and clinical management of our surgical services department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of enhancing operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize service delivery and patient care.
  • Lead and manage the surgical team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital policies, particularly in areas of patient and environmental safety.
  • Manage department budgets and financial resources efficiently, including capital equipment planning and procurement.
  • Participate in hospital-wide committees, contributing to broader organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Drive quality assurance and performance improvement efforts, monitoring key performance indicators to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field is required; Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in surgical services leadership, demonstrating operational excellence and team leadership.
  • Current registered nurse license in the state of Florida, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Certifications such as CNOR and CSSM are highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex team dynamics and navigate fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong fiscal acumen, with experience managing departmental budgets and financial resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, capable of leading diverse teams and engaging with clinical professionals.
