Position Overview: The User Access Management Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing user access rights, ensuring the security and compliance of the organization's IT framework. This position involves the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access controls to safeguard sensitive data and systems from unauthorized access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Access Control Audits: Conduct user access reviews, infrastructure access assessments, and shared drive access evaluations, ensuring timely completion by managers.
- User Provisioning and Deprovisioning: Process requests for the creation and removal of user accounts across systems and applications. Address access issues escalated from the Service Desk and collaborate with Security and HR for urgent terminations.
- Collaboration and Support: Partner with IT, HR, and other departments to facilitate prompt user access management. Provide technical assistance and guidance on access-related matters and support user training for onboarding and deprovisioning processes.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Identity Management (MIM) tools to resolve issues in accordance with established knowledge articles during the account lifecycle.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Address incoming inquiries and requests from end users through various communication channels.
- Assist users in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Evaluate user inquiries, diagnose problems with IT equipment and applications, and provide resolutions.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in user access management or a similar role.
- A solid understanding of access control frameworks and compliance mandates.
- Proficiency in access management tools and technologies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are advantageous.

- Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision in managing user access and identifying potential security vulnerabilities.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, access management solutions, and security protocols.
- Effective Communication: Capability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong skills in identifying and addressing access-related challenges.
- Compliance Focused: Understanding and implementation of regulatory standards and best practices in access management.
Work Environment:
- Office-based with opportunities for occasional remote work.
- May require after-hours availability for system updates or incident responses.
