Lab Assistant

Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Processing Assistant to join their team. As a Lab Processing Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical laboratory team by performing a variety of laboratory tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate laboratory and office equipment to ensure efficient and accurate testing.
- Enter information and test orders into the laboratory computer system.
- Respond to phone calls and provide laboratory testing information to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Manage work unit supply inventory and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Provide training to others on laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Associate degree or high school diploma/equivalent and 2 years of work experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Previous experience or knowledge of computers, keyboarding, telephone operations, and office equipment is desired.
- Ability to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holidays, and weekend work assignments.
- Must be able to adhere to strict safety requirements for handling chemicals, reagents, and infectious agents.
- Competitive hourly rate of $29.
- Full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule.
