Job Title: Pre-K Lead Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our team at the YMCA of Central Stark County. As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing daily lesson/activity plans that promote the well-being and personal growth of our young students.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of our diverse student population
  • Supervise and support Assistant Teachers to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
  • Conduct regular observations and evaluations of each child to track their progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents through regular conferences and updates
  • Ensure the classroom and program equipment are well-maintained and up-to-date
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and family nights to stay informed and engaged
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or higher in education or a related field
  • At least 18 years old
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and participate in activities with children
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Early childhood classroom experience, including lesson planning and conducting assessments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice
