Work Location: Miami Lakes, FL

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift Hours: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM (Flexible)

Employment Type: Full-time, Benefit Eligible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform gross examination of biological specimens, including inspection, description, measurement, inking, and sectioning for further analysis.
  • Operate within a dynamic laboratory setting, managing biological and chemical safety protocols.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • An associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or
  • A minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited institution, including:
    • 24 semester hours in medical laboratory technology courses, or
    • 24 semester hours in science courses with:
      • 6 semester hours of chemistry,
      • 6 semester hours of biology, and
      • 12 semester hours in any combination of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Entry-level laboratory technicians and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical, reading, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in operating standard laboratory equipment, including computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, and pipettes.

Additional Information:

This position will involve routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will receive training on maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy and security standards. Access to PHI is strictly limited to job-related duties.
