Position Overview

Talent Leverage is in search of a dedicated Donor Relations Associate. This role is crucial within the Resource Development team, where the Associate will collaborate closely with the Director of Special Events and Donor Relations to foster impactful relationships with donors and ensure effective stewardship. Responsibilities include nurturing new donor connections, managing engagement processes, overseeing fund agreements, organizing donor events, and acknowledging contributions from our giving circles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee donor societies, onboarding processes, and monthly contributions.
  • Assist with logistical arrangements for events, including attendance tracking, setup and breakdown, and providing on-site support.
  • Conduct venue and vendor research to align with event requirements and budgetary constraints.
  • Support the solicitation of in-kind donations for auctions and event services.
  • Help plan, schedule, and execute donor stewardship events and related communications.
  • Develop and manage special initiatives such as birthday campaigns and thank-you outreach.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings and events with donors and community stakeholders, including scheduling and material preparation.
  • Facilitate communications through calls and written correspondence.
  • Lead stewardship initiatives, including holiday greetings and post-event follow-ups.
  • Manage the administration and implementation of sponsorship benefits, ensuring accuracy and coordination across teams.
  • Create invitations and innovative recognition methods for supporters to highlight the impact of their contributions.
  • Coordinate volunteer efforts in collaboration with external affairs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in donor engagement or fundraising event management.
  • Strong commitment to the mission of Talent Leverage, demonstrating ethical standards and sensitivity to the needs of donors and colleagues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Positive team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to contribute individually as needed.
  • Flexibility to collaborate across various departments and locations.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Raisers Edge NXT, DonorPerfect, Salesforce) is preferred.
  • Reliable home internet connection is required (work laptop and mobile phone will be provided).
