Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures across various job sites and fabrication facilities.
- Conduct thorough safety reviews and document findings for each project.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation sessions to ensure all employees are well-versed in safety practices.
- Deliver live training sessions for designated safety roles, including Confined Space, Fall Protection, and Excavation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety programs and policies.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Foster strong relationships with clients to promote a culture of safety.
- Lead by example and mentor staff in safe work practices.
- Be present during high-risk operations to provide guidance and support.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction safety management, particularly for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant safety experience.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- OSHA 500 Certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months.
- Current First Aid and CPR training.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills with the Company Loss Control Team.
