The Facility Maintenance Attendant role is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of designated areas.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of buildings and facilities, including heavy-duty tasks such as floor cleaning, carpet shampooing, wall washing, and waste removal.

+ Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and management.

+ Adhere to all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set forth by the Company, Clients, and regulatory bodies.

+ Flexibility is essential; Day Porters must be willing to undertake all assigned tasks.

Specific Duties

+ Clean floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming, following proper procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment to avoid damage.

+ Responsible for cleaning and restocking supplies in all public areas, both inside and outside the assigned building, including restrooms as necessary.

+ Respond promptly and effectively to management needs.

+ Gather and dispose of trash efficiently.

+ Wipe and sanitize surfaces in dining areas.

+ Polish furniture and fixtures to maintain a clean appearance.

+ Service, clean, and supply restrooms regularly.

+ Set up and arrange facilities for events, including banquets and meetings, by moving decorations, tables, chairs, and other equipment.

+ Maintain an organized janitorial closet and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.

+ Order necessary supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance tasks.

+ Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after hours and checking for potential hazards.

+ Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.

+ Must meet all requirements for working in specific environments, including a ten-year work history if available.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience in customer service.

+ At least one year of similar work experience.
