Job Summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Dosimetry Manager to join our Radiation Oncology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the distribution and evaluation of technical aspects of photon/proton treatment planning efforts and coordinating dosimetry activities across all Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily distributed dosimetry activities in partnership with fellow Dosimetry Managers at PCAM and network locations.
  • Supervise dosimetric efforts for all photon/proton services in partnership with fellow Dosimetry Managers at PCAM and network locations.
  • Review plans and provide feedback to dosimetrists as needed.
  • Assign distributed dosimetry cases to the distributed dosimetry pool.
  • Provide feedback and complete employee evaluations for direct reports.
  • Point of contact for Network Leaders for all questions and matters related to dosimetry treatment planning.
  • Participate in training of new photon/proton staff in the Network and perform competency exams as needed.
  • Update existing staff on new techniques and system upgrades.
  • Hold ongoing staff meetings with direct reports and in partnership with fellow Dosimetry Managers.
  • Assist in submission documentation on protocol patients and work with clinical study teams.
  • Manage PTO requests, call outs, or sick leave requests for Network Dosimetrists and partner with fellow Dosimetry Managers as needed.
Requirements
  • Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) certification required.
  • Master of Arts or Science degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in dosimetry or a related field.
