Job Summary

Penn Medicine is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical research, and educating future healthcare professionals. As a Dosimetry Manager, you will play a critical role in our Radiation Oncology team, overseeing the distribution and evaluation of technical aspects of photon/proton treatment planning efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily distributed dosimetry activities, ensuring equitable planning and case assignments for up to 20 locations and 25 active planners.
  • Supervise dosimetric efforts for all photon/proton services, collaborating with fellow Dosimetry Managers at PCAM and network locations.
  • Review plans and provide feedback to dosimetrists as needed.
  • Develop and maintain records of dosimetry competency and credentialing.
  • Assign distributed dosimetry cases to the distributed dosimetry pool.
  • Provide feedback and complete employee evaluations for direct reports.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Network Leaders on all matters related to dosimetry treatment planning.
  • Participate in training new photon/proton staff and perform competency exams as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on new techniques and system upgrades, sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Hold regular staff meetings with direct reports and collaborate with fellow Dosimetry Managers to determine meeting cadence.
Requirements
  • Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) certification.
  • Master of Arts or Science degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in medical dosimetry.
