Position Overview:
As a Program Manager focusing on Equity, you will play a crucial role in advising the leadership of the Department of Transportation on civil rights adherence and transportation equity matters.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate in the formulation, execution, and assessment of the Department's Equity Action Plan alongside various equity and DEIA initiatives.
2. Act as the Designated Federal Officer for the Advisory Committee on Transportation Equity.
3. Represent the Department in discussions, briefings, and conferences concerning cross-modal civil rights and transportation equity challenges with strategic partners.

Special Projects:
Facilitate additional projects as assigned, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess robust program and project management capabilities, comprehensive knowledge of civil rights compliance within the Department, and experience in producing reports and briefing materials for executive leadership. Additionally, experience in planning and executing inclusive engagement with both employees and external stakeholders in the transportation sector is essential.

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and meet specialized experience qualifications. All required documentation must be submitted by the specified deadline.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level, including:
- Proficiency in developing and applying program management principles related to transportation and civil rights.
- Experience in creating and implementing strategic action plans and performance evaluations.
- Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders across multiple disciplines and government sectors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates will be evaluated based on their knowledge and application of:
- Technical Credibility: Understanding and application of relevant principles and regulations.
- Compliance: Familiarity with assessing and monitoring programs for adherence to federal laws.
- Communication: Proficiency in oral and written communication tailored to various audiences.
- Leadership: Ability to motivate and influence others effectively.

Additional Information:
Experience gained through volunteer work or National Service programs will be considered relevant. All qualifying experience, including volunteer roles, will be credited.
